Frequently asked questions
What age can my child start circus?
Circus is for almost every age at BigStar! Our Bubby & Me Toddler Circus welcomes little ones from just 1 to 4 years old (with a parent), and our regular kids' classes suit roughly ages 4 to 16. We even run adult classes, so the whole family can get involved.
What is Bubby & Me Toddler Circus?
It's a gentle, playful class where a parent and toddler take part together, designed for ages 1 to 4. It's all about movement, confidence and giggles — a lovely first taste of the circus world. It's $20 a week.
Is circus safe for young children?
Absolutely. Everything is taught by experienced coaches in a purpose-built studio with proper equipment, and toddlers are always with a parent in Bubby & Me. We keep it safe, supportive and full of fun.
Does my child need to be flexible or sporty to start?
Not one bit. Circus builds strength, flexibility and confidence over time — kids don't need any of that to begin. Beginners are always welcome, and our coaches start everyone at the right level for them.
Can I try before committing?
Yes! New students get 3 FREE trial classes in one week, each a different skill. It's the perfect way to see if your child loves it before you enrol. Book at bigstarcircus.com.au/free-trial.
Are there classes for teenagers and adults?
There are. Our kids' program runs up to about age 16, and we run dedicated adult classes too — aerial and circus fitness are a fantastic (and surprisingly addictive) way to move for grown-ups.
